Here is Doug running on National Run A Mile Day. He did great. I think he came in third (although it wasn't a race)
Here is his time...Not bad!
Curt's turn. I was afraid he wouldn't make it around the track! Steve said he would be much faster if he could run in a straight line. :) Steve and the boys ran with him to encourage him and cheer him on. He finished!!!
Here is his time.
Maggie also ran and finished...but my camera is being a pain and won't download the pictures! She did great too! It was a fun day! We went and had slushies for a treat afterwards. Oh yeah Jacob...who didn't want to run...ended up probably running more helping Doug, Maggie and Curt finish. I was proud of him that he was willing to run beside them on the edge of the track and keep them going. It was a beautiful thing to see them all working together and encouraging each other.
Great job! I used to be able to go two miles on a treadmill. ha ha. I'd be lucky to score half a mile now.
ReplyDeleteI hope you realize that you have REALLY good and cool kids!
ReplyDeleteWow! They did a great job!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you won't consider me to be annoying or nosey...but I was leaving a comment on Marmee's Pantry and saw the comment you left as well...about homeschooling.
We homeschool as well...and I just have to say that it is the best choice we ever made! We have days that aren't perfect...but picking your children's curriculum (which I find Christian curric.) is such a blessing!
Anyway...I just want to wish you the best of luck in your decision and if you have any questions...please feel free to ask! :) I am no expert...but I know how difficult of a decision it is to make and I appreciated those around me who gave me Christian advice about it! :)
Jon- Thanks that is a great Mother's Day gift you just gave me!
ReplyDeleteKaty- I don't think you are nosey at all...we are still considering...and we have on and off for years now. I might be picking your brain real soon!
