Garden Time

Here are some of the raised beds that have seen better days.  They have lasted a long time...but it was time for a makeover!
Steve and his Dad worked on the beds for a few days.
Now they look so much better.  They made a wider row between so the mower will easily fit.

There is still more than a few beds to finish...perhaps next year.    Hopefully these will hold up for a long long time.

  3. Hi Julie!
I found your cute blog through Marilyn's blog. I'm so glad that I did!!
First of all.... I love the red barn. In my humble opinion, all barns should be red :)
Love the garden beds too! I love to garden and love to see gardens. Looks like you have a bit of produce all ready growing. Lucky girl! Here in my area of Utah, we are still turning on the furnace! Hope next week is warmer....I'm supposed to teach a gardening class :)
    Have a wonderful day!

  4. Oh my goodness! Such a small world :)
Brooke started out in Gerard and then went to Bowling Green, and now she is in Westlake.
I have no idea how close that is to you....but I remember her writing about the Youngstown ward! She loves the people in Ohio! She also has adopted 1/2 of them :)
I will tell you from a mama's heart , that I too love the members in Ohio! They have been SO good to my daughter and her companions!!
I can see why your garden is growing too. Brooke told us on Mother's day that the growing season in Ohio is about 3-4 weeks ahead of us :)

  5. Oh my goodness! These are absolutely gorgeous! I especially love the red barn in the background. It's hard not to be envious of your beautiful surroundings....My suburban garden is nice, but oh for the country spaces!

  6. Good Morning Julie!
I tried to email you....I'm just not sure that it worked. Sometimes my email is cranky and things get lost in cyber-space.
I wanted to thank you for your amazingly sweet offer! I don't know how close you are to Westlake. I know that Brooke and her companion live with a stake president.
I've been reading over some of your older posts and I am so impressed with you and your sweet family! You guys are awesome!
    I adore your farm too!!
    Have a fun day!
